INSURERS

Every day, around the globe, Marsh works with insurance companies to solve our mutual clients’ risk needs.

As a market leader, Marsh works alongside global, regional and local insurance companies to develop and secure the best solutions for our clients. As the key contact point with insureds for carriers, Marsh’s Market Relationship function aims to assist insurers in understanding where they can provide added-value to our clients. We help insurers by communicating our strategy and explaining the Marsh book of business, ultimately bringing more choice to clients.

Services we provide include:

  • Marsh MarketConnect: An online portal for participating insurers that provides insights into our book of business and into the insurer's performance against peers. It provides analytics for more efficient underwriting, and enables better communications with Marsh’s placement network.

  • Marsh MarketPlace: Provides an access point for participating insurers to reach Marsh brokers so that they can find information about the insurer's products and services, its preferences, and its appetite for risk. Participating carriers can develop a profile page that is accessible to Marsh's brokers. The content on the profile page is provided by the carrier and can be used to promote new products, distribute brochures or archive marketing collateral. The carrier's profile also allows Marsh brokers to ask questions directly of carrier experts.

  • Marsh Market Information: Provides clients with the data and tools to help them select risk counterparties and monitor their performance.

  • We also provide thought leadership about the insurance market, emerging risks, and developing issues on marsh.com. This includes monthly and quarterly Insurance Market Reports, our annual Excellence in Risk Management report, our Disaster Recovery Portal, benchmarking information, webcasts, and industry newsletters. Sign up on Marsh.com’s Subscription Center for e-mails or RSS feeds that alert you to new content.

Marsh’s sister companies also work with insurers.  Guy Carpenter is a leading risk and reinsurance specialist. Oliver Wyman’s Insurance Practice provides a combination of expertise in financial effectiveness and strategy and operations that is unique among consulting firms serving insurance carriers.
