Who we are
Marsh has a dedicated team of aviation insurance professionals who developed this scheme to respond to gaps in coverage for situations not protected by standard motor and general public liability insurers.
What we do
The airport concessionaires scheme is placed by means of a facility underwritten at Lloyd’s and can provide for third party motor vehicle property damage, and/or bodily injury, and/or third party general public liability.
Key airside liability solutions
The scheme is designed to provide third party legal liability insurance for concessionaires, contractors and, occasionally, individuals working in or about the airport premises. For example, window cleaners, office cleaners, surveyors, photographers, delivery agents, catering agents – basically any facility which is required in the ‘outside world’ is usually required within the confines of an airport
Where coverage is available
Cover is not restricted to UK airports or any one airport authority/operator but the insured does have to be UK domiciled/registered and cover does exclude activities in the USA and Canada.
How much cover is available
Scale rates apply to limits of GBP5m and above but a lower limit can be catered for, if required. The maximum limit available under the scheme is GBP100m/Euro 127m. The scheme does have a standard excess of GBP1,500 for third party motor vehicle property damage. Cover can be provided for a period of 24 hours to annual placement, depending upon contract terms.
