Manchester, 20 June, 2011 – Marsh has been named as ‘Insurance Broker of the Year’ in this year’s St Nick North West Turnaround Awards, which were held recently at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry.

Following a month of voting by insolvency and turnaround professionals, Marsh won the award in recognition of the services its Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Practice and Insolvency Practice provide to insolvency practitioners and the restructuring sector in the North West of England.

Commenting on the Award, Louise Perry Hall, Project Manager in Marsh’s PEMA team in Manchester, said: “We are honoured to receive this award. Marsh has striven to guide its clients through turbulent times over the past two years and it is very pleasing that these efforts have been acknowledged by the businesses we serve.”

Marsh’s Manchester PEMA team provides a range of advisory services to the turnaround community in the North West of England, including due diligence and transactional insurance products, while the Insolvency Practice provides insurance and risk management solutions for the insolvency profession.

Organised by investment group Endless, the St Nick North West Turnaround Awards recognise excellence among advisory and financial sectors professionals serving the turnaround and restructuring community in the North West of England.
