RK Harrison Insurance Services (RKHIS), the UK retail specialist for the RK Harrison Group, and Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser, have mutually agreed to transfer part of the Professional Indemnity portfolio Marsh acquired in the HSBC Insurance Brokers transaction, April 1, 2010, to RKHIS.

As part of this transfer, a team of eight led by Chris Allen and comprising Richard Harnack, Terry Seager, Edward Donne, Darryl Stoner, Dominic Rooney, Anna Riseman and Jimmy Lambert, joins RKHIS with immediate effect. RKHIS will be establishing a new Professional Risks Department allowing the team to provide market leading PI products and services to support RKHIS’s Commercial operations.

Roy White, Head of Marsh’s FINPRO Practice, said: “Following a detailed post-close review of HIBL’s PI portfolio we concluded that a portion of it lacks synergies with the Marsh portfolio and its transfer to another broker would benefit all parties.
