Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser, announces the appointment of Simon Markey as Chief Executive of its UK Affinity business. Based in London, Mr Markey will report to Martin South, Chief Executive Officer, Marsh UK.

A senior executive with many years’ experience of the affinity and consumer sector, Mr Markey was most recently Managing Director of the Lifestyle Services Group and, prior to that, held several management positions in the Retail Bank of the Lloyds Group.

Welcoming Mr Markey to Marsh, Martin South said: “Following a strategic review of our Affinity business to focus on our core offerings, we are developing exciting plans to boost our presence in this attractive market. With his strong record of growing businesses and new product development, as well as providing excellent customer care, Simon is exceptionally qualified to drive our efforts in expanding our share of this important sector.
