Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser, has announced the appointment of Nabil Khawaja to lead its Global Energy Practice's London-based offshore construction team. He will report to Construction Leader, Paul Nicholson.
Mr Khawaja, who joins Marsh from Benfield Corporate Risk, has more than 20 years' insurance industry experience. He has worked with major oil companies and contractors, specialising in the offshore construction market. Mr Khawaja previously worked at Marsh for several years until 2005 as part of its energy construction unit, when he took a lead role in developing its book of business.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Khawaja said: "It is great to be back at Marsh at a time when energy companies need the best risk and insurance advice as they navigate these difficult economic times.
