A major electronic parts company in the UK needed to understand the exact risk of flooding for one of its most important facilities.
Marsh conducted a flood risk analysis and a business interruption loss estimate study. The study was conducted over a period of six months and included a land survey of the surrounding area and the nearby river, as well as a real-time flood model study.
After the project was completed, the client was in a better position to understand the natural hazards exposure of the specific facility and recommendations were developed to reduce potential risks. The project also led to a premium reduction being obtained.
