HOSPITALITY, GAMING & LEISURE

Marsh’s Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure Practice is a global leader in providing risk consulting and risk transfer solutions to organisations in the restaurant/hospitality industry. We serve clients across all sectors of this dynamic industry, from cafeterias, fast food, and fine dining to bed-and-breakfasts, resorts, and gaming facilities.

Hospitality and leisure

The hospitality and leisure sector is experiencing rapid expansion and liberalisation in the UK.

With 24-hour drinking laws now in place, several ‘super-casinos’ around the country waiting to be built, and the rapid rise of online gaming, there are many more ways for people to spend their disposable income.

New risks accompany these new opportunities, however the UK government wants companies to demonstrate social responsibility in areas such as drinking and gambling. In a sector where many depend on a license to operate, the withdrawal of their license would spell catastrophe. Marsh has a team of full-time professionals dedicated to the insurance and risk needs of this sector.

We work in areas such as:

  • pubs, restaurants, hotels and nightclubs
  • casinos, bookmakers, online gaming and race courses
  • health and fitness
  • travel
  • attractions.

The commerical leisure team focuses on providing solutions for the leisure industry. These bespoke products range from individual property and liability through to comprehensive commercial packages for specific market segments. We also identify and develop niche products for both our clients, its members or customer groups that will enhance existing benefits or create beneficial income streams.

The risk consulting practice of Marsh is able to assist clients with regard to a number of different risk areas, including:

  • public liability
  • health and safety
  • cyber-risk
  • business risk reviews
  • terrorism threat assessments
  • security planning and implementation
  • fire risk assessments
  • training
  • emergency response/contingency planning
  • business continuity
  • product liability
  • forensic accounting and claims services.

Many of our clients are market leaders – a reflection of the trust placed in us by the sector.
